The Noerr Programs & Save The Children Story
Judy Noerr and Philip Byrne, co-CEOs of The Noerr Programs, have always dreamed of ways to share the heart of Santa with those in need.
“Today, nearly one in five U.S. children lives in poverty,” Judy Noerr founder of The Noerr Programs said. “That’s nearly 15 million kids who simply do not get a fair chance at a bright future, because they lack access to the quality education and resources so many take for granted.”
To make their dreams a reality, in 2010 The Noerr Programs began by requesting a one dollar donation at the close of every visit to Noerr’s Santa and Bunny Photo Experience. One guest and one dollar at a time, donations began to add up. In 2016 alone, Santa’s guests graciously contributed nearly $192,000.
Seven years later, Noerr is approaching another long-term goal: two million dollars collected for Save the Children’s work giving America’s most vulnerable children the opportunity to succeed in school and life. Save the Children partners with American families, schools and communities to give children a healthy start, the best possible opportunity to learn and protection from harm. .
To make spirits bright, Noerr Santas have visited Save the Children sites in rural Tennessee, Colorado, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, South Carolina and California, bearing gifts and messages about the importance of reading. The Bunny has also gotten in the act, visiting programs in Washington D.C. and New York.
We remain grateful for our kind, loyal and generous guests, who have given us 1.4 million reasons to BELIEVE.
